Amy Burgess is a professor of biology at Southwestern Oregon Community College. Her education/research background focused on aquatic ecosystems, ranging from river trout interactions to larval crab food web interactions to deep-sea methane seep population connectivity. As a professor and member of the community, she understands the importance of involving and educating the local community about their local ecosystems. Amy hopes to foster relationships between SWOCC, CoosWA, and the community as she serves on the board of directors.
